Our Lady of Guadalupe

With a mercyful glance, Our Lady of Guadalupe look us from Basílica de Guadalupe, en Mexico. Painted over maguey's canvas, many of her characteristics call the attention:

Her gaze has been object of many investigations, caming to the result of in the reflects of her eyes there are a crowd of people, being spanish men, african people, a indian family and a catholic priest. The painting is very small, for have been painted with so many details.

For other side, the symbol of a Virgin Mary painted in Mexico, with the materials of Mexico, is not a coincidence, because the aztec mythology has its own mother of the Gods, Koatlikue, with a not much beneficent image, because she wasn't so beauty, was almost the image of the death (skinny and with a skirt of  skulls), but called for everybody as them Tonatzin (Our Lady). Thereby, we can see in every cultures its primordail mother, the Virgin Mary is not the mother only for catholics. For that, this picture is not an image from a religion, is the image of the feminine principle of everything, our mother, our sisters, our aunts, our granmother, our women teachers, and every women and the female qualities.
